About me

Hi, I'm Sachit, a 21 year old self-taught programmer and engineer with an interest in ai and electrical engineering. Currently pursuing an undergrad degree in AI & ML.

Apart from programming, I enjoy history, philosophy, RTS games, linguistics and peculiar music. I've been programming since 14, mainly in Python and C++, I'm currently learning RL and Lean. This site aims to be both my personal portfolio and a corner on the internet for me to express myself.

Experience

• ▶ Team Antariksh - Payload Avionics Engineer | October 2024 - December 2025
  I served as the Payload Avionics Engineer at a Team Antariksh, a student rocketry team. During my tenure I worked on the telemetry of our rocket (codename laskhya) payload (codename starguide). We ended up winning first place at the IN-SPACE rocketry competition 2024-2025.
  
  
  
  
• ▶ Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO) - Research Intern | July 2025 - September 2025
  During my tenure as a research intern I implemented a ConvLSTM model from scratch to predict rainrate over Kochi from data gathered during the 2018 Kerala monsoon floods. My model managed to reconstruct rainrate plots with 0.8 SSIM score on average. During my time here I also learnt how government agencies work and why they're so inefficient, this has had a significant impact on my career and approach to work.

• ▶ darkwire - Send bitcoin without the internet over long range radio
  A revolutionary system that enables Bitcoin transactions over radio waves, eliminating the need for internet connectivity. Uses LoRa technology and mesh networking to broadcast transactions in areas with limited infrastructure. Currently a work in progress.
  
  
  
• ▶ ironeye - AI object detection for military targets using RGB-IR sensor fusion. (Third Place at HAL Aerothon '25)
  Built an AI object detection system for military applications using RGB-IR sensor fusion with YOLOv8. Created custom War Thunder dataset (1500+ images), real-time dashboard (Next.js/FastAPI), and MCP server for simulation control.

  Wikipedia reimagined as an infinite scroll feed. Makes knowledge discovery more engaging by presenting articles in a social media-style format, perfect for casual learning.
• ▶ ICE - Intrusion Countermeasures Electronics
  Basic server hardening toolkit for self-hosters. Automated scripts to set up firewalls, fail2ban, SSH hardening, and monitoring. Takes the complexity out of securing your home server.
• ▶ silverhand - Prosthetic arm project
  Building an affordable prosthetic arm using 3D printing and Pizeoelectric sensors. Currently in development for a friend. Focuses on practical functionality and cost-effectiveness.
